Transportation

 

Your child can either be dropped off and picked up as described in the FAQ, or they can ride the school bus. If your child will be transported by school bus, please understand the following. If you have any questions or concerns about busing, please contact Tammy Gipps, ESE Family Counselor at 954-262-7149.

  • Broward County busing provides your childs transportation
  • You have to apply for transportation through Baudhuin Preschool
  • Note: After applying for transportation service, there is a minimum processing period of two weeks. This also applies to change of home or after care address
  • Any changes in harness, seatbelt or car seat requirements also take at least two weeks to process. If your child does require a harness, please make sure it is labeled on the inside with your child's name in indelible/permanent ink
  • If an air conditioned bus is required for medical reasons, your child's physician must fill out the proper paper work (available in the ESE office) and return it to Tammy Gipps for processing
  • You will be contacted with the route number and estimated time of pick-up/drop-off
  • Broward County Transportation will not take your child if he/she is ill. For your child's safety and the health and safety of others, please do not put your child on the bus if he/she is sick
  • Please be aware that there may be transportation delays the first few days of school. To be on the safe side, it is advisable to have emergency transportation arrangements set in place for your child.
